Shipley Energy Hires Joshua Bailer as Vice President of Wholesale Fuels

Shipley Energy announced that Joshua Bailer has joined the company as vice president of wholesale fuels.

In his new role with Shipley Energy, Bailer will lead and manage the team that oversees the purchase and sale of liquid petroleum products, including heating oil, propane, diesel and gasoline. He will seek to improve Shipley Energy’s buying and risk management strategies in order to consistently grow product lines and manage functions related to pricing, purchasing and fuel inventories.

Bailer brings nearly two decades of experience in fuel trading to Shipley Energy, having served for the last four years at Sunoco, LLC as the senior director and trader of refined products, where he oversaw the supply chain to over 6,800 retail locations. Prior to that, he worked for Sucden Americas Corp. as the senior trader and head of U.S. biofuels, and as a trader of oil products at Morgan Stanley.

He holds a Bachelor of Arts in Politics, Philosophy and Economics from the University of Pennsylvania, as well as a Master of Business Administration from the Cornell University Johnson Graduate School of Management. His civic involvement includes board memberships for Beat the Streets Philadelphia, the Riverbend Environmental Center and University of Pennsylvania wrestling Grappler’s Club.

Based in York, Pa., Shipley Energy is a privately owned energy company supplying commercial and residential electricity, natural gas, propane, heating oil and heating and cooling service throughout Pennsylvania and Maryland.  In addition to its wholesale fuels business in the mid-Atlantic, the company provides on-site fleet fueling solutions to businesses.
