Service Experts Heating and Air Conditioning is hosting an intensive, nine-week “Express Tech” program at Roland J. Down Service Experts, Scotia, N.Y., beginning on Sept. 11. All 14 places in the course have been filled, but there are plans to offer the program again in the spring of 2018, says Jim Hughes, manager, technical training for Service Experts.

Service Experts says it has organized Express Tech to cover all facets of the job in minimal time. Each week focuses on important steps, including safety, air conditioning fundamentals, A/C service, and gas heating fundamentals. Additionally, there are four weeks of on-the-job training, during which trainees work alongside seasoned technicians in the field. The program includes NATE certification with hands-on evaluations and communication training.

Jon Carman, director, field training for Service Experts, says the program is designed “to help fill the need for properly trained technicians and installers. The heating and air conditioning industry is a great choice for an exciting and rewarding career, and prior industry experience is not necessarily required to participate in the Express Tech Program. Men and women with the right attitude and drive can realize the benefits of this unique educational opportunity.”

Service Experts Heating & Air Conditioning, headquartered in Plano, Texas, has 90 locations across 29 U.S. states and three Canadian provinces. For more information, visit ServiceExperts.com.
