Simpson Dura-Vent Acquires ProTech Systems, Inc.

Simpson Dura-Vent Co., Inc. announced the company purchased 100 percent of the stock of Protech Systems, Inc., a N.Y. company.

Protech Systems Inc. is a leading manufacturer of special gas vents for residential, commercial and industrial applications. The company also manufactures flexible stainless steel chimney liners for masonry chimneys.   Protech Systems was founded in 1985 as a product development and marketing company and distributor of Ventinox chimney liners.

Simpson Dura-Vent is the leading manufacturer of venting systems in North America.  The company distributes products in the U.S., Canada, Great Britain, Europe, Asia and Australia.  It is a wholly owned subsidiary of Simpson Manufacturing Co., a publically traded company on the NYSE.
