Highlights from the record-setting show

THE 60TH AHR EXPO, HELD AT THE JACOB K. JAVITS Convention Center in New York City, Jan. 22-24, may not have been quite in the heart of heating oil country, but it was close enough to draw a record crowd of 39,298 registered attendees, including 6,778 international attendees representing 132 countries.


The previous record number of attendees dates from the 2003 show in Chicago, which had 38,224.


This year’s show featured 1,885 exhibiting companies and 19,284 personnel from those companies.


Clay Stevens, president of International Exposition Company, Westport, Conn., show producers and managers of AHR Expo, said, ‘As it has been 17 years since the show was last held in New York, HVAC&R professionals took full advantage of the city’s accessibility to visit the world’s largest HVAC&R event and see the thousands of new products and technologies on display.” The event’s highlights included:
