Kenworth Offers 30-Gallon, Under-Cab Fuel Tank Options For Kenworth T170 Class 5 Model
KIRKLAND, Wash. ‘ Kenworth Truck Company has added fuel tank options for its T170 Class 5 model, which serves applications in pickup and delivery, general freight, leasing and rental, towing and recovery, landscaping, and construction.
The Kenworth T170 can be ordered with optional 30-gallon, under-cab, rectangular steel fuel tanks. The 30-gallon, under-cab options include a single, right-hand side tank; and dual right-hand and left-hand side tanks. The dual 30-gallon tank configuration requires an in-cab battery box, or customers can choose to order a battery box which Kenworth temporarily mounts across the frame rails with final installation done by a body builder. The T170 is standard with a 35-gallon, rectangular steel fuel tank.
The Kenworth T170 is a straight truck in a 4×2 configuration with a gross vehicle weight rating (GVWR) up to 19,500 lbs. Standard features include the PACCAR PX-6 engine rated at 200 hp and 520 ft-lb of torque, 8,000 lb. front axle and 11,500 lb. rear axle, hydraulic brakes, low-frame height chassis with 19.5 inch wheels and tires, power door locks, passenger-side electric windows (optional on driver’s side), and Kenworth DayLite(TM) doors with right-hand peeper window. Customers can choose a manual or automatic transmission. The 6.7-liter PACCAR PX-6 engine offers the highest horsepower to weight ratio in the industry and has a 2-year warranty with unlimited miles.
