Oil Heat Cares Foundation Receives Donation from AHRI’s Hydronics Institute
East Petersburg, PA ‘ The Oil Heat Cares Foundation recently received a generous donation in the amount of $1,500 from the Hydronics Institute section of the Air-Conditioning, Heating, and Refrigeration Institute (AHRI).
Oil Heat Cares is a Not-for-Profit Foundation (501C-3) that assists needy persons and organizations with the replacement of their oil heating appliance. NAOHSM has 30 chapters located throughout the Northeast portion of the United States. Oil Heat Cares projects can be initiated by a chapter or by individual members.
National Association of Oil Heating Service Managers (NAOHSM) chapter members play a large role in the Oil Heat Cares program. They are the people who come in contact the most with the individuals who need to replace their old, inefficient heating equipment, but cannot afford to do so. NAOHSM members make the nominations to the Board of the Oil Heat Cares Foundation and then donate their time to make the installations happen.
Support of the foundation comes in many ways. Whether it is a technician’s time, an equipment donation from a manufacturer or cash donations raised from a golf tournament’as was the case with the Hydronics Institute’s donation’all of these contributions come together to support this worthy cause. The Foundation has minimal administrative costs and could withstand the intense scrutiny of non-profit organizations so common today. Virtually all contributions go directly to cover the cost of equipment replacement for those who need it most.
This year Oil Heat Cares has lent a helping hand to single moms and dads, families with serious health issues, veterans, non-profit organizations and the elderly.
