Field Controls Expands IAQ Line with Media Air Cleaner
Field Controls (Kinston, NC) has added high efficiency whole house filtration to its Indoor Air Quality arsenal with the introduction of a Media Air Cleaner product line. Initially available in two sizes, both use MERV 11 filter media to trap particles as small as 1.0 micron in size. Replacement filters are designed to fit standard Media Air Cleaner cabinets. The 1400 cfm size is 16″ x 25″ x 5″. The 2000 cfm model is 20″ x 25″ x 5″.
Field Controls media is electrostatically supercharged for better efficiency and longer life. It is also moisture resistant and will not support the growth of bacteria or microbes. The MERV 11 pleated media has enough capacity to work up to six months before replacement while maintaining efficiency and arrestance ratings in compliance with ASHRAE Standard 52.2.
The MAC is installed in the return air duct of virtually any forced air system. It is placed prior to the furnace and air handler and can be installed with new systems or retrofitted to older systems. It is recommended for use in residential and commercial installations up to five tons.
The Media Air Cleaner by Field Controls complements a complete line of UV-Aire® products that sanitize indoor air by killing and reducing bacteria, germs, viruses, and mold with ultraviolet light. Field also manufactures a foundation vent fan to help eliminate moisture problems in crawl spaces, a source for mold and radon gases.
