John Kolson Joins Watts Radiant as Vice President and General Manager

John Kolson joined recently joined Watts Radiant as vice president and general manager, succeeding Mike Chiles who leaves the position.


 


For nine years previously, Kolson held several marketing and product development positions at Dormont Manufacturing Company, also as managing director of the firm’s Appliance OEM Strategic Business Unit and ‘ shortly after Dormont was acquired by Watts Water Technologies in 2006 ‘ he was named vice president and general manager.   


 


Earlier positions include director of marketing and product development at industrial automation, rail transportation and HVAC/Appliance control giant, Invensys, formerly Robertshaw Appliance Controls.  He also held project management and technical positions within GPU Pennsylvania Electric Company. 


 


Prior to entering the power utility industry, Kolson served for several years as construction supervisor and field engineer for Babcock & Wilcox, an engineering and construction company focused on the energy and power generation markets.


 


John has an Associate’s degree in applied sciences from the Community College of Beaver County in Pennsylvania, Bachelors’ degree in Engineering Technology from Pennsylvania State University, and a Master of Business Administration from Indiana University of Pennsylvania. 


 


John and his wife, Sharon, a stay-at-home mom, have two children, Andrew, 13 years old and Erica, 10.
