IRVING OIL AND SOBEYS EXTEND GAS SAVINGS PROGRAM

Save on the price of gas through Oct. 15
Consumers can earn savings at participating Sobeys supermarkets and Irving Oil gas stations through Oct. 15. The savings are valid for 60 days from the date they are earned. Coupons earned on the last day of the program, Oct. 15, will be valid through Dec. 14. The fuel rewards program is offered in New Brunswick, Prince Edward Island, Newfoundland and Nova Scotia.
‘Our fuel rewards program has always paid attention to the needs of our customers, first and foremost,” said Harry Hadiaris, General Manager of Irving Oil Marketing G.P. ‘The popularity of the program has continued to grow in the provinces, and deciding to extend it was easy.”
How customers earn their savings remains the same. When a customer spends $50 or more in a single transaction at a participating Sobeys, a coupon for cents off per litre of gas purchases at participating Irving locations will print at the bottom of the receipt.
‘Consumers can also combine coupons earned from several Sobeys shopping trips to earn even greater savings,” said Hadiaris.
Coupons are valid for one fuel fill-up, up to a maximum of 75 litres.
‘All you need to do to lower your price of gas is do your regular shopping at Sobeys,” said Hadiaris. ‘With a minimum purchase, you’ll save. It’s as simple as that.”
Since the program began in May 2008, consumers in Atlantic Canada have lowered their price on almost 30 million litres of fuel.
