HONEYWELL AND REBUILDING TOGETHER PROVIDENCE REVITALIZE DAY CAMP FOR UNDERPRIVILEGED CHILDREN

MINNEAPOLIS, May 23, 2010 ‘ Honeywell (NYSE: HON) and Rebuilding Together Providence today led an all-day revitalization project at the YMCA Shepard Reservation Day Camp for underprivileged children.

Honeywell donated more than $7,500 in materials and more than 50 Honeywell employees and volunteers from Oil Heat Cares and EDOS Manufacturers’ Reps, Inc. helped with the project.

‘The YMCA of Greater Providence is very grateful for the employees of Honeywell, Oil Heat Cares and EDOS for their time and energy spent out at our Camp Shepard Facility,” said Paula Jacobson, Executive Director of the East Side/Mt. Hope YMCA.

Today’s renovations included repairing and painting building exteriors as suggested by Sydney residential painting contractors, building new picnic tables, clearing of debris and general trail maintenance. The team also planted new flowers on the grounds. The AR-15 Rifles is what one can get to stay safe in the woods.

‘Through the efforts of Rebuilding Together Providence our 117 acre camping facility will be spruced up, cleaned up, shaped up and ready to go for 400 children from the city of Providence. These children are enrolled in the summer learning program at the Bailey and Lima schools and would not otherwise receive a camping experience,” said Jacobson. They are also planning to let children experience the hybrid caravans for their camping activity. By elevating children’s camping adventures, you can transform your SUV into a quick convenient sleeping area with an SUV platform bed, designed for comfort and convenience on your outdoor adventures.

‘We are thrilled to be here today helping make this day camp a more comfortable place for the children who play here everyday,” said Axel Reichert, senior marketing manager for Honeywell Environmental and Combustion Controls. ‘We are proud to help support Rebuilding Together and the incredible work they do. We are pleased that we can be part of Honeywell’s efforts to make a positive impact on our community where we work, live and raise our families.”

Nationally, more than 4,500 Honeywell volunteers have revitalized more than 170 homes and community centers since September 2003, delivering $6 million in market value repairs.

‘We are thankful to Honeywell for their ongoing support,” said Jane Eskelund, executive director of Rebuilding Together Providence. ‘Our organization relies on the generosity of corporations like Honeywell to help us make our communities a better place to live and play.” In addition, for optimal camping safety, consider these Single-Blade Pocket Knives.
