But First – Get Those Nominations in for:

The Deadline for the 2011 Awards is fast approaching – this Friday, April 15th.  The Awards Committee needs those resumes for Hugh McKee (the 1st President of NAOHSM), Service Manager of the Year, Lou Ehrich Award (previously Associate of the Year), Instructor of the Year and Manufacturer of the Year.  We all know people who have always been there and have continually done a great job for our industry.  It is time to recognize their efforts!

And, resumes for Technician of  the Year – sadly we have one resume and if we don’t get a few more by Friday, this award will not be made in 2011.

Time to Get Registered for our 2011 Convention & Trade Show

It is quick and easy to register – do it today.  Visit http://naohsm.org/trade_show.cfm for easy Hotel Reservations at the Hershey Lodge and Convention Center and just scroll down a bit and you will find a large bar that you’ll click to register.  At that time, you can register for all events, all classes, our evening functions including our Annual Awards Banquet and something that I’ll focus upon today – the motorcycle division of our Care to Ride Event.  Don’t ride a motorcycle?  You can walk, run or ride your bicycle all for a good cause.  When registering, you will even be able to print your badges and all the badges of those employees you have registered – from your own desk!

The Care to Ride event will be held Monday, May 23rd – and the various divisions will leave at different times.  The first to depart will be our Motorcycle division.  The riders will gather in the Outdoor Lot that faces Route 322 – look for the Tents.  The motorcycles will depart at 10:00 a.m. for the scheduled tour of the Harley Davidson Factory in York, PA.  After the tour and lunch, the bikes will continue on a enjoyable country ride and end their ride at the Hershey Lodge and they along with all participants will be met at our Opening Reception – that will be held at the Swan Lake gazebo outdoors.

A great deal of work has been put into this event and ALL Proceeds (a minimum pledge of $100 per participantgo to Oil Heat Cares – www.oilheatcares.com.  To have a successful event we need a couple of things.  One – if you need to rent a Motorcycle, contact John Vastyan – cground@ptd.net or cell: 717-575-9967.  John has made arrangements with a Harley dealership located near Allentown (that was the closest) – for a daily fee of $275.00 they will deliver and pick-up your rental – and provide no-hassle insurance coverage.  The fee may be negotiated if there are enough rentals.  John will need to know what type of bike you want and he will give you further details.

To make this all happen, John needs to give the dealership a head count by April 25th and Ralph Adams who has been instrumental in getting the tour set-up with Harley Davidson needs to give them a head count by April 29th  – so if you plan to participate at least send us an e-mail or better yet – REGISTER TODAY!

Join fellow members and enjoy the great outdoors and raise money for a good cause.
