Sharon Bloomer Elected as the 2011-2012 ICPA Chair of the Board of Directors

The Independent Connecticut Petroleum Association has announced that Sharon Bloomer, CFO of the Apple Oil Company in West Haven Connecticut, was elected as the 2011-2012 chair of the board of directors of the ICPA.

“ICPA is proud to have Sharon become the chair of our board of directors this year,” said ICPA President Gene Guilford. “Not only is she an accomplished professional having served our industry in many capacities, our industry will benefit greatly from her advocacy and leadership skills in a very challenging time.”  Ms. Bloomer serves not only on the ICPA Board, now as chair after having served two years as vice chair, but also is about to become the Northeast regional chair of the Petroleum Marketers Association of America [PMAA], as well as serving on the board of the New England Fuel Institute.

ICPA’s 61st Annual Meeting also saw the election of Peter Aziz of Bantam Fuel of Bantam, Conn. as the association’s new vice chair of the board, and Jennifer Tracey-Carlo elected as the association’s new treasurer and chair of its finance committee.
