PEI Publishes 2012 Safety Posters

TULSA, Okla., January 27, 2012 – The Petroleum Equipment Institute (PEI) has announced that two new PEI safety awareness posters are now available for purchase depicting two safety issues in the petroleum equipment industry: truck hygiene and team lifting.

The posters, produced as part of the PEI Safety Program, were designed by the 2011 PEI Safety Committee and illustrated by artist Bill Patterson of Tulsa, Okla. PEI has printed 35 safety awareness posters since 1992 on industry-specific topics, such as barricading the workplace, lockout/tagout, confined space entry and excavation safety. The single-copy price for PEI members is $2.00 each, or $3.00 for non-PEI members. The safety posters can be viewed and purchased by visiting www.pei.org/shopping.

The PEI Safety Committee is made up of industry safety experts from across North America and includes Steve Fletcher, Northwest Pump & Equipment Co.; Mike Hays, Double Check Company, Inc.; John Keller, Petroleum Solutions, Inc.; Joseph B. In addition to the annual posters, the PEI Safety Program authors Safety Dos and Don’ts, which are a series of fact sheets that address safety concerns within the petroleum and energy handling equipment industry and are available free of charge on the PEI website. The association also publishes two free monthly safety e-newsletters, the SafetyLetter and SafePractices.
