LOCHINVAR® NAMES DECEMBER VIP PROGRAM WINNERS
LEBANON, TN ‘ January 23, 2013 ‘ Lochinvar has selected the latest monthly winners of the VIP Installation Showcase and the VIP Drawing. Nathan White of White’s Plumbing & Heating in Kenai, Alaska, was chosen as the December VIP Showcase winner, and Matt Campbell of Comfort Aire Heating & Cooling, Inc. in Lancaster, Pennsylvania, was selected in the monthly drawing. Both VIP Contractors will join the other monthly winners for an all-expenses-paid trip for two to Nashville for the world’s largest country music festival in June.
An Impressive Installation
Nathan White’s submission for the VIP Installation Showcase described a recent retrofit of a 30-year-old heating system. He started with a room-by-room heat-loss calculation, which revealed a shortage of baseboard in the living area and abundance in the bedroom and study. Since he had planned to divide each room into its own zone, this information helped set up three unique reset curves for the various zones in the house. White replaced the home’s existing 115,000 Btu/hr cast iron atmospheric boiler and water heater with a 55,000 Btu/hr KNIGHT® Wall Mount and a 45-gallon Squire
