The Work Truck Show® 2014 Offers Modern Solutions for Truck Fleet Managers

FARMINGTON HILLS, MI (Oct. 16, 2013) ‘ Truck fleet managers can learn how the latest technology can improve operations and productivity at The Work Truck Show® 2014. North America’s largest work truck event features more than 60 educational sessions, including the day-and-a-half Remote Fleet and Mobile Work Crew Management Technologies Symposium and a new Special Session covering winter road maintenance.
The Work Truck Show is held March 5’7, 2014, at the Indiana Convention Center in Indianapolis, IN. Educational programming, including the Green Truck Summit, begins March 4. The event includes the 50th Annual NTEA Convention.

Fleet managers can learn best practices at the Remote Fleet and Mobile Work Crew Management Technologies Symposium. This popular course on March 4’5 has been updated to include a new focus on the use of remote tracking and measuring technologies. Instead of assigning a manager to every work crew or shop, fleet operators today can oversee progress, handle maintenance issues and take inventory from a single location. An array of modern mobile technology will be discussed, including GPS, telematics, software and credit cards.
The new Special Session: Indiana Local Technical Assistance Program Winter Maintenance Course is available for transportation managers and partners from any state. The two-hour interactive class includes material-spreading case studies to ensure attendees leave Indianapolis ready to face tough winter conditions. It is held March 4.
