Chet Reshamwala will become chief executive officer of DataOnline effective Jan. 1, the company announced. He is currently chief operating officer. Reshamwala will succeed co-founder and current CEO Martin Adams, who will transition to a strategic business development role, where he will focus on building account relations and helping customers improve safety and efficiency.

DataOnline this year acquired Independent Technologies, Blair, Neb., which markets Wesroc tank monitoring systems to fuel dealers.

Reshamwala is a long-time technology executive who has led business units in the automotive, industrial, semiconductor, and industrial internet of things (IIoT) industries. He began his career at Texas Instruments (now Sensata Technologies) as a design engineer, moving up through a variety of roles in business development, marketing, and engineering management. At Sensata he led the integration of a $1 billion acquisition comprising six independently-run heavy transportation, aerospace, and industrial businesses across 10 sites in Europe, Asia, and the Americas. Reshamwala earned his B.S. and M.S. degrees in engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, Cambridge, Mass.

“As founders, Rob and I are thrilled to be passing the leadership of the business we established nearly thirty years ago to an accomplished, dynamic leader like Chet,” Adams said. Rob Barnacle, president, co-founded DataOnline with Adams.

“After working alongside Martin and Rob, I’m very excited about the opportunity to become CEO of DataOnline,” said Reshamwala.
