Michael Devine Joins World Energy

World Energy, a biodiesel supplier based in Boston, Mass., announced that it hired Michael Devine as vice president of sales and business development. Devine will play a key role in establishing a biodiesel downstream distribution platform, working directly with senior management and the company’s supply and logistics teams.

An early adopter and outspoken advocate of biodiesel integration, Devine is a veteran of the national renewable fuels initiative. He has been a featured speaker on biodiesel integration into the U.S. petroleum supply chain and has worked with national and state petroleum associations to develop biodiesel education and outreach programs.

In 2012, Devine initiated a collaborative agreement to distribute biodiesel to downstream terminals, bulk plants and petroleum distributors. This collaboration produced a dynamic biodiesel distribution model that supplied biodiesel to the New York Tri-State area and the New England and Mid-Atlantic petroleum markets.
