Dead River Acquires Cheshire Oil

Dead River Co., South Portland, Me., acquired Cheshire Oil Co. of Keene, N.H. The Robertson family sold the home heating portion of their business to Dead River. Cheshire Oil has served the Monadnock region of New Hampshire for 97 years.

Dead River announced the acquisition on Sept. 14. Terms of the acquisition were not disclosed.

Dead River Company has served the Keene area since 2012 and will be consolidating operations into the company’s current Keene office, at 452 Winchester Street.
