Supply/demand data for propane and heating oils through the current heating season, along with forecasts for the next several months, into planning for the 2021-22 heating season, were presented when the IDEAL Energy Cooperative held its semi-annual Supplier Roundtable event in mid-February.

Outlooks for a potential sustained rising price environment and awareness of potential volatility were also discussed. In addition, Roundtable presenters helped to distill the potential impact of the new White House energy executive orders upon retail energy dealers.

Member-owners were joined by several of their supplier partners, including Paul Capriotti of Blackline (Sea–3), Pete Rieg of The Redwood Group, and Matt Harrison of Gulf Oil. The current energy supply and the supply outlook for delivered fuels propane and heating oil were discussed by partner panelists.

“We received critical information from our supplier partners that will help to inform both current decision-making and future strategic planning as well. We appreciated the real time information brought to the table by our partners despite this extremely busy season,” said Ryan Jackson of D.F. Richard, Inc. The cooperative’s next Supplier Roundtable event is scheduled for this summer.
