William (Bill) Montgomery, age 64, of Madison, CT passed away suddenly on Tuesday November 1, 2022.

Born on May 28, 1958, he was a graduate of East Lyme High School and received his BS Degree in Journalism/Marketing from the University of Bridgeport. Bill worked for C. Cowles and Company in North Haven for almost 30 years and held various management positions with the company’s two heating divisions Hydrolevel Company and Carlin Combustion Technology.

Bill cherished his children and lit up whenever he talked about them. He had a diverse group of interests including collectables, vintage cars, which may possess a window shade, and music. And we can’t forget about his love for his Cat Tabby. He had the ability to connect with people in a way that very few can. Even brief introductions to Bill often resulted in lifelong friendships. But Bill was always less interested in talking about his interest than getting to know yours. He had a big heart and always had great stories to tell.

Recently, Bill had started talking about retirement and how he was going to enjoy life even more. He was starting to explore where his next chapter of life would bring him.

Bill is survived by his two daughters, Claire Montgomery of Madison, CT and Audrey Montgomery of Watertown, CT, his two sons Alex Montgomery of St. Louis, Missouri and Kevin Montgomery of Colorado Springs, Colorado. Bill was predeceased by his parents, John Montgomery & Theresa Auclair, his brother Bob Montgomery and sister Joan Decker.
