Vivint Solar, a residential solar provider, is launching a retail sales channel that will include kiosks at retail locations in California, Massachusetts, New Jersey, New York and Utah. The kiosks will open by the end of June, the company said, and others will open at additional retail locations and states throughout the year, the company said. Based in Lehi, Utah, Vivint Solar designs, installs, monitors and services solar energy systems for its customers.
Company representatives at the kiosks will help consumers understand the benefits of affordable, renewable solar energy and choose Vivint Solar to design, install and maintain a system, the company said. Consumers can set up a free, in-home solar consultation to determine whether their home is suitable for solar panels.
“Expanding into the retail market enables us to diversify how we can help Americans embrace rooftop solar,” Paul Dickson, chief revenue officer of Vivint Solar, said in the statement issued May 11.
