The World CTL 2009 Conference took place in Washington D.C. from March 25-27, under the auspices of the World Energy Council, the World Coal Institute and the World Petroleum Council.
During three days, 175 representatives of the energy community exchanged their views on technologies, environment, economics and strategies. Speakers included Governor Manchin of West Virginia, Governor Freudenthal of Wyoming, scientists and senior executives of the industry.
‘World CTL 2009 offered the audience the latest information and the best opportunity to interact; this is the path for improving both competitiveness and sustainability,” said Serge Perineau, the conference chairman, said to Fuel Oil News. ‘CTL and CBTL will see their role contingent upon these performances. The conference participants share this vision. By 95 percent, they ranked the conference ‘Excellent’ or ‘Good;’ 96 percent are already planning to participate in World CTL 2010.”
