New Program Offers Home Fuel Funding in Michigan
Under a new program, homeowners in several Michigan counties can apply for help paying their fuel oil bills.
The Mid Michigan Community Action opened up applications for homeowners struggling to pay their winter heating bills.
According to the Midland Daily News, since April, MMCA supplied nearly 600 households with deliverable home heating fuel for next winter. Additionally, 59 families have been reimbursed for deliverable fuel bills paid between Jan. 1 and March 31. Deliverable home heating fuel includes propane, fuel oil, kerosene, wood or heating fuel pellets.
The deadline for applications is August 31.
