Welcome to the July digital edition of Fuel Oil News magazine! The cover story for this issue reports on an initiative by Bradigan’s of Kittanning, Pennsylvania, and Lenape Technical School in Ford City, Pennsylvania, to recruit students to commercial driving. Launched in September 2022, the elective course is designed to help seniors complete the requirements for a permit, so that after graduation they can go on to behind-the-wheel training and earn CDLs. Twelve seniors completed the course in 2022-23, and 30 or so have expressed interest in taking the course in the upcoming school year.

And we report on flooding that caused severe damage to roads and other infrastructure in Vermont, where the governor declared a state of emergency and has requested federal assistance. The July issue also features a Propane Products & Services Directory, and a guide to Water Heaters.
