Collura has led NEFI’s public policy, government affairs, and communications programs since 2005. Most recently, he served as the organization’s Acting President & CEO, ensuring continuance of its advocacy efforts while also providing stable leadership during a period of transition. Prior to joining NEFI, he worked on Capitol Hill for a U.S. Senator from New Hampshire and, later, a national faith-based organization.

“I am grateful for this opportunity and look forward to working with all NEFI members, staff, and industry partners as we strengthen our organization and its advocacy efforts, enhance member services, and execute our ambitious strategic initiatives,” Collura said. “The NEFI mission is so incredibly vital, and it is imperative that our members continue to be heard in Washington and across the nation.”

Under Collura’s leadership, NEFI will continue its strong focus on federal and state advocacy while implementing its recently adopted three-year strategic plan. Priorities include strengthening industry partnerships, enhancing member services, and advancing the industry’s commitment to renewable liquid heating fuels and the deployment of high-efficiency space heating technologies.

Through strong member engagement, advocacy, and its various membership benefits and events, NEFI has worked to protect and advance the interests of heating fuel businesses since 1942.
