ASHRAE Proposes Alternate Compliance Path for Existing Buildings in IAQ Standard

Recognizing that the ventilation rate procedure in its indoor air quality standard may be difficult to apply in existing buildings, ASHRAE is proposing an alternate compliance path. Proposed addendum b is one of six addenda to ANSI/ASHRAE Standard 62.1-2013, Ventilation for Acceptable Indoor Air Quality currently open for public comment from Sept. 5 to Oct. 5, 2014. From OESP: Jack Simione Passes

We thought it important to share some information regarding the passing of one of our past National Officers, Mr. Jack Simione.   Mr. Simione was the owner of Simione Oil, Winthrop Mass.  He was very active in our association. He was Past President of the Boston Chapter and he served on the national level back in the late 60's and early 70's in the positions of secretary and vice president. His funeral was held at  Our Lady of the Assumption Church on Sept. 1.
