NTEA Receives Three Prestigious Diamond Awards
The National Truck Equipment Association (NTEA) was recently honored with three Diamond Awards, the highest honor bestowed upon a non-profit by MSAE, the Michigan Society of Association Executives.Awards were presented at the 7th Annual Diamond Awards Banquet, held Sept. 18, 2008, at The Henry Ford’s Lovett Hall (Dearborn, Mich.).
The Diamond Awards were created to honor and celebrate innovation, achievement and excellence within the association industry. The NTEA won high honors for membership development, the web site NTEA.com and public relations.
‘These honors recognize our commitment to excellence in our industry and more importantly to our membership,” said Jim Carney, NTEA executive director. ‘We take great pride in developing programs and resources that our members find beneficial and we are privileged to be recognized for our efforts.”
The membership development program at the NTEA was recognized for excellence in recruiting and retention of association members. The award was granted to the NTEA for creativity of strategies employed, effectiveness of utilized tools and overall results.
The newly redesigned NTEA.com took top honors for its enhanced Web site features, quality, creativity, usability, navigation and organization of content.
The public relations campaign for The Work Truck Show 2008 received the Diamond Award for its innovative and creative approach to increase awareness by the general public, media and/or other external audiences. The NTEA was touted for its creativity and effectiveness of program design, clarity of communication messages, use of multiple media channels and use of graphic elements and originality.
The NTEA also received a Gold Honorable Mention in the print newsletter category for its monthly publication, NTEA News; a Gold Honorable Mention in the meetings and exposition category; and a Silver Honorable Mention for The Insider, in the e-newsletter category.
