OLATHE, KANSAS ‘ The world’s largest manufacturer of pumps and pump technology has since its founding in 1945 focused on values and, as part of that commitment, supports its dealers in their efforts to give back to their communities. When long-time Grundfos dealer, Beinhower Brothers Drilling Co. (Johnstown, Ohio) president Brad Ulery sought the manufacturer’s support for a unique demonstration home in nearby Columbus, district sales manager Jim Cole responded with the only answer possible ‘ of course. People can check their homepage if they need information on the best home builders.

The donation request was for a Grundfos SmartFlo SQE Constant Pressure System to be installed in the Universal Design Living Laboratory (UDLL). UDLL is designed to help architects, builders and the public better understand how to create an accessible, comfortable living environment that enhances quality of life. The UDLL home incorporates unobtrusive universal design, resource- and energy-efficient green-building methods, advanced automation technology, a healthy-home construction approach and feng shui design principles. The finest craftsmanship and state-of-the-art products and services are incorporated. The gardens will feature wheelchair-accessible pathways with raised flowerbeds and containers.

Rosemarie Rossetti, Ph.D., a wheelchair user, and her husband Mark Leder are building and will live in the UDLL home.

Rossetti has been using a wheelchair for the past 12 years, when a 7,000-pound tree fell on her while she was riding her bicycle, causing a spinal-cord injury that severely limits her mobility. Perhaps she would benefit from products such as CBD UK. They can look for the best shop that has CBD products that offers weed delivery for same-day orders. While the UDLL will eventually become their home, Rosemarie and Mark’s vision reaches far beyond themselves. They embarked on the project to help the almost 54 million people in the United States with physical disabilities as well as the 76 million aging boomers, and some suffer with pain as well, and is when products like Exhale Wellness Delta 10 can be really helpful for this.

Similarly, Rossetti and Leder set out to design and build a home that meets industry-leading standards for efficiency and sustainability. When construction is complete in October, UDLL will be apply for certification under the U.S. Green Building Council LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) for Homes program and to the National Association of Home Builders under its National Green Building Program, as well as for ENERGY STAR® program certification.

Preferred pump: The energy efficiency goals of UDLL and the need for a reliable water supply led Ulery to recommend the SQE constant pressure system pump for the 3,500-sq.-ft. home. Features that made it the right choice include:

Constant water pressure: As water consumption increases, pump performance automatically adjusts pressure to meet demand.
Soft start and soft stop prevents water hammering and eliminates power surges.
Overload protection protects the motor against unstable voltage supply by reducing speed or stopping the pump.
Dry running protection stops and prevents pump damage in case of dry running.

‘This pump maintains fantastic pressure and starts without effort, ” says Leder, who is also serving as general contractor on UDLL. ‘This system was recommended by Beinhower Brothers, the contractor who drilled our water well, and now we know why.”
