‘Improving Motor Carrier Safety Measurement’ is Subject of FMCSA Public Meeting
“Improving Motor Carrier Safety Measurement,” a National Academy of Sciences (NAS) report, will be the subject of a half-day public meeting on Friday, Sept. 8, in Arlington, Va., hosted by the U.S. Department of Transportation’s Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA).
Published on June 27, 2017, the NAS report was commissioned by FMCSA consistent with the requirements of the Fixing America’s Surface Transportation (FAST) Act. The FAST Act also requires FMCSA to develop an action plan to address any identified deficiencies.
The public meeting will discuss the NAS recommendations and solicit input to be considered by FMCSA in the development and implementation of an action plan.
The public meeting will be held at the FMCSA National Training Center, 1310 N. Courthouse Road, Suite 600, Arlington, VA 22201-2508.
