ESEA Launches ‘Upgrade Your Lifestyle’ Program
The Empire State Energy Association launched its new “Upgrade Your Lifestyle” program in September, promoting energy efficiency, equipment upgrades and “Upgrade & Save” rebates. The program uses National Oilheat Research Alliance funds allocated to the Upstate New York Energy Association (UNYEA) and Hudson Valley Oil and Energy Council (HVOEC) under the energy efficiency, research and development and rebate categories from 2014 through 2016.
The 12-month campaign features a new website at OilheatNewYork.com, radio, digital display advertising, search engine marketing, social media, blogs, postcards, newsletters and other dealer materials, reports Kris DeLair, director of ESEA, based in Troy, N.Y. With new messaging, clean designs, and strategies to reach consumers of all ages, the program aims to educate homeowners and persuade them to call their dealers to upgrade their oil heat systems with higher efficiency equipment.
Social media training, which was presented at the ESEA/UNYEA Convention, Aug. 28-29 in Watkins Glen, N.Y., provided page managers tips and tricks to finding success on these platforms, and demonstrated how an entity operating in the oil heat industry can promote both their business and the industry through social media. A round of webinars on social media training are being planned for 2018, as are NORA Certification & Technical Training Classes, conducted by consulting firm Oilheat Associates, based in Long Island, N.Y.
