New Hampshire Sets 15 ppm Sulfur Level: Effective July 1
Effective July 1, all heating oil imported into the state of New Hampshire must be at the 15-ppm level, reports the Energy Marketers Association of New Hampshire.
A bill signed on June 27 by Gov. Christopher T. Sununu established the requirement along with an amendment that the association requested, Robert J. Sculley, executive director of the association, wrote in an email to members. “The new change is that there will be a gradual transition to allow all existing higher sulfur content heating oil in the tanks to flush itself out with an effective date of enforcement of February 1, 2019,” Sculley wrote, referring to the amendment.
