Palmer Gas & Oil Acquires Lamprey Energy
Palmer Gas & Oil of Atkinson, N.H., acquired the assets of Lamprey Energy of North Hampton, N.H., announced Cetane Associates, which said it served as financial advisor to the buyer.
Established in 1923 as Lamprey Brothers to sell wood, coal, and ice, Lamprey Energy is a full-service energy business offering the delivery of heating fuels and home comfort services in southeast New Hampshire and southeast Maine. Palmer Gas & Oil plans to continue operating the business from Lamprey Energy’s existing Atlantic Avenue location in North Hampton, using its existing employees, Cetane said in a Nov. 8 statement.
With roots dating back to 1932, Palmer Gas & Oil delivers propane and heating oil to customers throughout southern New Hampshire and northern Massachusetts. Palmer Gas & Oil also staffs a service department that installs and maintains residential heating and cooling equipment, hot water heaters, standby generators, and gas fireplaces.
Bill Ermer, president of Palmer Gas & Oil, said, “Palmer and Lamprey are a perfect fit. Both are long-standing, family-owned businesses that service similar geographies and focus on delivering exceptional customer service.”
