CEMA: HVAC Tech Shot Breaking Up Theft of His Service Van — Support Needed

(As published in Dec. 14 CEMA Pipeline):

On Thursday, Dec. 7, 2023, Aron Thompson of New Haven was home after a day’s work as a service technician for Tracey Energy Services in New Haven, Connecticut. Aron saw two men running from his work van that they had broken into. The men pulled out a gun and shot Aron he was struck in both legs. He is currently at Yale-New Haven Hospital where he is being treated for gunshot wounds to both legs. Recovery will be a long process of wound healing and rehabilitation. There are three other victims of this violent incident: Aron’s wife, Wajeeda, and their two young sons, ages 11 and 9. Aron is the sole provider for the family as Wajeeda home-schools their children. Their lives have been upended because of this senseless act of violence. Aron is a popular and valued member of the Tracey Energy family and the HVAC industry, and we want to do all we can to support his recovery, and meet his family’s needs. But that will take time and resources, and any help that can be provided will be a blessing for this young family, especially as the holidays draw near. Tracey Energy has set up a GoFundMe page where you can help.
