James A. DeLeo has been elected to serve as leading partner at Gray, Gray & Gray, announced the accounting and business advisory firm headquartered in Canton, Mass. DeLeo has been instrumental in developing a mergers and acquisitions practice at the firm, and has also played a key role in its Client Services department, Gray, Gray & Gray said.
DeLeo succeeds C. Joseph Ciccarello, who had led Gray, Gray & Gray since 2008, and who will continue to serve as partner of Gray, Gray & Gray while managing the firm’s energy and succession planning practices.
DeLeo joined Gray, Gray & Gray in 1990, and was elected a partner in 2002. He has a bachelor’s degree in accounting, a master’s degree in taxation, and a master’s in business administration. DeLeo is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, the Massachusetts Society of Certified Public Accountants, and the Association for Corporate Growth.
“It is a privilege and honor to step into a position that was so well defined by my predecessor Joe Ciccarello,” said DeLeo. “Joe has led Gray, Gray & Gray’s significant growth over the past ten years resulting in a very exciting time for our firm. We are ideally positioned to serve the tax, accounting and business advisory needs of businesses throughout New England and across the country.”
A native of Watertown, Mass., DeLeo resides in Burlington, Mass., with his wife and three children.
