Hedge Solutions Rolling Out New Version of Software
Hedge Solutions, Manchester, N.H., which offers fuel hedging and energy risk management services, says it is releasing a new version of its hedging platform in May. Hedge Insite, its risk management tool, has been used by oil and propane dealers over the past 11 years. The hedging software, currently deployed on the desktop as a SaaS (software-as-a-service) platform, will be available from a web browser, the company says. New features of the new SQL-based version will include enhanced data-sharing (sales, hedges, wet barrels, and actuals) across multiple scenarios, the company says. The new version also deploys enhanced data search and filtering tools, the ability to name and save multiple delivery curves (useful for individual profit centers), and seamless integration with the Northland Energy Trading database, as well as most back-office systems, says Rich Larkin, president of Hedge Solutions. “The new version combines the flexibility of a spreadsheet with the reliability and security of a database,” Larkin says, adding that Hedge Solutions will demonstrate the software at the Eastern Energy Expo, May 20-23, at Foxwoods Resort Casino, Mashantucket, Conn.
