Alex Laforest Named New England Technical Sales Manager for Boston Steel
Alex Laforest was appointed technical sales manager of the New England region for Boston Steel, Haverhill, Mass., a division of Tremcar USA.
A technical engineer, Laforest has been employed at Tremcar Inc., Boston Steel’s parent company, since 2012. Laforest has worked on several different projects for Tremcar, notably the U.S. patent for Tremcar’s total ground level operated tank-trailer. Laforest was recruited to work directly with David and Ron Burke, former owners of Boston Steel. The Burkes, who remain active in the company, are focused on training the next generation within Boston Steel.
Laforest will replace Frank Stemporzewski who decided to take up new challenges, the company said. “We would like to take the time to thank Frank for his dedication to Boston Steel and we are happy to see that he will remain around the industry to work with us,” the company said in a statement. “Frank’s knowledge and professionalism contributed positively to Boston Steel’s transition from its Malden facility to Haverhill.”
