F.W. Webb Co., Bedford, Mass., announced the acquisition of Palace Plumbing & Heating Supply, a wholesale distributor with a location in Manhattan and a location in the Bronx.
“We have had a desire to get into New York City. Over the past couple of years, we have been working toward that goal by making acquisitions and opening new locations in the surrounding area,” said Jeff Pope, F.W. Webb’s president. “Palace is known to be a top supplier in the industry and we are pleased to have the opportunity to serve their customers.”
Effective Oct. 1, the two locations began operating as F.W. Webb. Employment offers were made to all Palace Plumbing & Heating Supply associates and most of them are becoming F.W. Webb employees, the company said in an Oct. 1 statement. The wholesale stores offer plumbing, heating, HVAC, refrigeration and PVF inventory for commercial and residential contractors. Services will include online ordering, an inventory replenishment program and 24/7 emergency service.
In June, F.W. Webb expanded its business into Long Island with the acquisition of North Fork Plumbing & Heating Supply in Riverhead, NY. Earlier this year, the company also became an official sponsor of the New York Yankees.
