BSOHA Donates $4,690 to Salvation Army
The Berks-Schuylkill Oil Heat Association donated $4,690 to both the Berks and Schuylkill County Salvation Army, with each Corps receiving half of the total donation. Since 2006, the BSOHA annual charitable donation has directly helped the heating needs of local residents to a total contribution of $64,780.
Cpt. Sharon Tressler of the Reading Corps and Envoy Gina Harris of the Pottsville Corps of The Salvation Army accepted the donation from BSOHA President Kevin Steele of H.B. Steele & Son, Inc., Orwigsburg, and BSOHA Secretary/Treasurer Chris Crooks of Talley Petroleum, Grantville, Pa., on Feb 21 at Ozgood’s Restaurant in Kutztown, Pa.
“We are very pleased to make this donation to the Salvation Army. Our membership has always been willing to step forward and help those less fortunate,” Steele said.
Donations for the annual fundraiser were received from the following member companies of BSOHA: R.W. Beckett Corp., Boston Environmental, Buckeye Energy Services, Earl R. Martin Inc., Elite Fuel Services LLC, H.B. Steele & Son Inc., Jack Rich Inc., Lucknow-Highspire Terminals, LLC, Pennsylvania Petroleum Association and Santilli Oil Co. Inc.
