Paraco Gas acquired Chickos Energy Services of Milford, Connecticut.
The acquisition, announced Dec. 22, is Paraco’s second of an HVAC company in 2022.
Chickos Energy Services has been family owned and operated since the 1950s. “Paraco is the right fit at the right time,” said Michael Chickos, former owner of Chickos Energy Services. “Paraco’s values and family focus means that it’s the right company to bring expanded energy choice to our customers, who will benefit from having more options to heat and cool their homes.”
Paraco said that Chickos brings a qualified team of certified and licensed technicians who will be leading installations, service, and repairs as Paraco grows its HVAC customer base.
“Chickos Energy Services is well-known throughout the area for its excellent customer service and strong service reputation,” said Christina Armentano, Chief Operating Officer at Paraco.
Earlier in 2022, Rye Brook, NY-based Paraco entered into a strategic partnership with NY-based Thuesen Mechanical to offer HVAC services, plumbing, heating system installations, water treatment systems, air conditioning and conservation in the counties of Westchester, Putnam, and Dutchess in New York, along with Fairfield County, Connecticut. Paraco, a privately-owned propane company headquartered in Rye Brook, NY, operates in eight states and serves 120,000 customers. Paraco’s HVAC venture is a new division.
