Jarco Completes Move to Minnesota; Hires Regional Sales Manager
Jarco, a manufacturer of propane and fuel delivery trucks, announced the hiring of Darin Wilmes as regional sales manager. With over 16 years of sales expertise and more than a decade in management, Wilmes’ deep understanding of propane operations, cooperative partnerships, and customer-focused solutions makes him an outstanding addition to the team, the company said. Wilmes has proven ability to grow customer bases, deliver tailored solutions, and foster long-term relationships, the company said.
At Crystal Valley Co-Op, Wilmes managed fuel service technicians and energy sales staff while leading the AFD (Automatic Fuel Delivery) program. His role included installing tanks, deploying monitoring systems, and crafting personalized propane solutions for agricultural and cooperative clients.
His time at Central Farm Service further underscored his ability to bridge sales and operations. Wilmes grew the customer base by delivering exceptional service and recruited and trained new team members, demonstrating his versatility and commitment to business growth.
Jarco recently completed a relocation from Salem, Illinois, to Holdingford, Minnesota. The move strengthened Jarco’s manufacturing and service capabilities, with production now fully operational in Minnesota, the company said.
Minnesota’s robust workforce, centralized location, and proximity to key customers offers an ideal environment for Jarco’s continued growth. Wilmes’ Minnesota roots, extensive propane expertise, and understanding of cooperative partnerships make him the perfect leader to help Jarco build stronger relationships with regional partners and expand its influence in the propane industry.
Jake Radish, chief commercial officer of Engineered Transportation International, said, “Darin’s experience in propane and his ability to cultivate meaningful relationships with co-ops and customers make him the perfect choice to represent Jarco in our next chapter.”
Jean Welle, director of inside sales at Engineered Transportation International, said, “With our relocation complete and production ramping up, his expertise is exactly what we need to drive customer engagement and strengthen our market presence. The synergy between Darin’s leadership and our talented inside sales team at the Holdingford plant will be instrumental in establishing deeper customer connections and advancing the Jarco brand.”
“I’m honored to join Jarco during this pivotal time in the history of the brand,” Wilmes said. “Leveraging the headwinds of the company’s strategic move to Minnesota and the resulting increase in production, I’m ready to help the team strengthen customer relationships, grow the business, and drive the propane industry forward.” Founded in 1959, Jarco is a division of Engineered Transportation International (ETI), which designs and manufactures tank trailers, oilfield equipment, and other transportation solutions.
