OESP Provides Update on Danny Gentile
The following is from the National Association of Oil and Energy Service Professionals newsletter:
‘In the previous newsletter we shared with you that Danny Gentile, New Haven Chapter, had a serious accident. Many folks have been asking about Danny’s progress and Craig Snyder, President of Wesson Energy promises to keep us apprised of his progress.
Here is a recap of what’s happening. He has had a total of three surgeries to remove his damaged skin. It also has been confirmed that Danny had 65% of his body burned. The doctors are telling his family that one or two more surgeries will be required. Danny needs three to four days to recover after each surgery.
‘His doctors will begin skin grafts once all of his damaged skin has been removed. They have already performed some minor skin grafts in order to determine which material works best for him. His skin graft surgeries should start next week. Danny continues to be in a medically induced coma and is still in critical condition. The entire team at the hospital continues to provide incredible care for Danny. Infection is still their main concern.
‘Many people want to do something to help the family. Behind the scenes plans are being worked on for fundraising but for now Danny needs your prayers. You can though send him get well wishes – you can send them to Bridgeport Hospital, Burn Unit, 267 Grant St., Bridgeport, CT 06610. Please NO flowers. If you would like to leave a message, visit: http://www.facebook.com/WessonEnergy. There you will see fun pictures of our friend Danny.
